As the Hattat Holding Energy Group President, it is among my targets to process our country’s rich underground resources in the most efficient way; to extract our domestic hard coal, methane, oil and natural gas; to produce and distribute in an economic, high quality, continuous and environmentally safe energy and contribute in our economy by doing so.

Our country has imported 21 million tons of hard coal in 2007. This negative factor effecting our economy directly can be abated by looking into our own underground resources and our group is working towards that aim.

The explanatory drilling that we performed in West Black Sea Region/Karaburun in 2007, has gone down in history as the first explanatory drilling done by the Turkish private sector.

I and all our energy group staff are in dedicated efforts to bring an end to Turkey’s external energy dependency and believe in the importance of this. In order to reach our goal for this great purpose, I would like wish success to all my colleagues who work with high motivation and add great value. May God help us.
