History
Hema Energy Company Energy Group has started operating in many areas like hard coal, methane, oil and natural gas, electricity production and distribution, and has been continuing vigorously.
The contract concerning the Amasra (B) Colliery having been given to Hema Energy with a royalty for exploiting has been signed in 2005 and the land has been given over to Hema Energy by T.T.K in May, 2006.
A contract has been signed with the Chinese firm Datong for drilling 8 diameter wells in Amasra for Hema Energy Underground Preparation and Production Project on 12th November 2006.
Currently our well laboring is continuing at top speed in Shaft#1 Tarlaağzı, Shaft#2 Kazpınarı and Shaft#3 Amasra.
In addition to MTA’s previous drillings, Hema Energy continues the drillings necessary for the project, using its own drilling machinery and equipment.
The project to run down galleries from A.T.İ coal mine to the shafts, in order to speed up, has been approved by T.T.K on 4th October 2007 and the protocol has been signed by both parties on 12th December 2007.
Hema Energy has prepared all its machinery and facilities, and has bought all the equipment for the intrenchment; therefore accelerating the production date a year earlier.
Kandilli Colliery carries on exploiting and marketing coal.
According to the studies done by TUBİTAK and Hema, the total methane reserves are 600 billion m3. It is planned to drill 200 wells during 2009 and start the production in 2010.
Hema Energy has drilled an off-shore well in Karaburun (in 2007), Terkos (in 2009) and plans to perform 1 off-shore and 1 ashore explanatory drillings during 2008.
Compatible with the world standards, environment-friendly 4x660 MW coal fired power plant will be established in Amasra and 2x660 MW coal fired power plant will be established in Kandilli. Hema Energy has prepared the projects for the distribution of electricity and the studies are continuing.
