A contract has been signed with the Chinese Datong Company to drill
3 wells (8 diameters/1000m depth) in Amasra exploitation zone in accordance with Hema Industry Underground Preparation and Production Project.

The target is to produce 5 million tons of coal annually.

In addition to the drillings done previously by MTA, Hema Industry is performing additional drillings with 3 drilling equipment. So far 18 deep drillings have been performed, the operation is continuing.

The tender for opening 4600 meters long, 18 m2 wide galleries has been finished and the land has been consigned to the winner firm on 7th December 2007.

Hema Industry Colliery takes place on a 92m2 area with TTK holding the rule of law. It is on 35km west of Zonguldak Province, approximately 5 km inland from the Zonguldak-Ereğli Highway and within Kandilli and Gökçeler Municipality limits.
